Wedding of Louise & Jay 16th April

Apologies for the large delay & lack of posting, I have just been soooooo busy!

But finally I bring you the Wedding of Louise & Jay that took place way back in April on a lovely Spring day at the fabulous Staunton Harold Hall.

Jay's Buttonhole of a white Phalenopsis Orchid with looped Bear Grass & Ivy to match his Bride.

The stem was bound with white ribbon.

Groom & other Buttonholes of cream 'Vendela' Roses with Ivy & the stems are also bound with white ribbon.

Mother of the Groom's Corsage of cream 'Vendela' Roses with Spray Roses to match, variegated Ivy & finished with a small cream bow.
Mother of the Bride had a Corsage of dusky pink Cymbidium Orchids with greenery & pearls. Finished with a small bow to match.
Louise's Nana had a Corsage of white Dendrobium Orchids & Ivy finished with a green bow.

The Bridesmaids carried a hand-tied of white Peonies, cream 'Vendela' Roses, Phalenopsis Orchids & greenery.
The stems were bound with pale green ribbon to match their dresses & finished with a trailing bow.

Louise chose a shower bouquet of white Phalenopsis Orchids, 'Avalanche' Roses, Aspidistra leaves, Bear Grass & variegated Ivy.

Now onto the tables!

These Martini Vases filled with white Phalenopsis Orchids, cream 'Vendela' & 'Avalanche' Roses, Fountain Grass, Bear Grass, Ivy & Aspidistra Leaves totally changed the room.

The green chair sashes & table runners work perfectly with the flowers colours.

The beautiful Cake which was made by Wendy, a friend of Louise's family. She decorated it with the flowers from the Wedding theme.
You can see Wendy in the background at work decorating the Cake!

The Top Table was decorated with Ivy
Roses & Orchid heads.

I much prefer this to the traditional long & low arrangement.

At the Hall, there is a wonderful Staircase that leads to the Ceremony Room so Louise asked us to decorate it to make more of a feature of it.... so we did!

Louise's Nana created the arrangement that is at the bottom of the banister rail.

These pictures don't do it justice!

We decorated it with a lot of variegated Ivy, Roses & Orchids.

It was all painstakingly wired on.

It took a good two hours to decorate it & only 10 minutes to dismantle it the next day!

The view from the top looking down.

At the top of the stairs, I finished the garland with a bundle of flowers & a
big trailing bow.

The large Pedestals in the Ceremony Room were placed either side of the registrar table on large stands that are already at the Hall.

These were then moved downstairs after the Ceremony.

They weren't the lightest of things to carry up quite a lot of stairs, I wish we had discovered the lift before I took part in the worlds strongest woman competition!

I used Phalenopsis Orchids, both Roses, Molucella, Peonies, Lisianthus, Gerberas, green Blooms, Viburnum & lots of different types of greenery.

One of the Table Vases was placed on the table downstairs as they were having drinks in this area after the Ceremony.

We created a heart using the flowers from the Wedding theme. Louise wanted it to go on the mntlepiece above the Fire but it was too big so we spent ages trying to find somewhere for it to go.

In the end, the best place was on a small table next to the Fire.

When Louise arrives she will come over this bridge.

The view of the Reservoir from the main door of the Hall.

My attempt to get the Hall in a photo, didn't quite work!

The Table flowers taken through the window from outside.

A view of the Hall from the road on our way back to the Shop, this photo resulted in a very angry Tractor driver because I dared to turn around in his driveway whilst trying to take a photo!

I very much enjoyed working at Staunton Harold Hall, it's probably one of the best Venues with such amazing grounds.

Any Bride who chose to get married here would be a very lucky girl!

Huge congratulations to Louise & Jay & thank you for asking me to create your Wedding flowers x

Lisa, what you and your mum did for us was just absolutely stunning. You completely transformed the hall from just a venue to an incredibly personal and individual wedding setting. Thank you so much, we can't recommend you enough and it was a pleasure working with you both. I asked you to work with possibly one of the most difficult flowers too and you never once complained (to me anyway)!! Thanks to Wal, we will always come to you and no one else! Louise x
