Wedding of Laura & Steve 17th April 2010

Today was the Wedding of Laura & Steve.
I have been emailing Laura for well over a year before I meet her, she originally wanted Tulips & Cherry Blossom but that then changed to Peonies.
The Wedding was being held at Sutton Bonington Hall - my favourite venue! It was a glorious day so they would be able to make use of their fantastic gardens.

Laura's & her Bridesmaid's Bouquets

Bridesmaid's Hand-tied Bouquet of Ivory Peonies with variegated Hosta Leaves, the stems were bound with Ivory ribbon to match.

Laura's Bouquet was a Hand-tied of Ivory Peonies with a few very pale pink ones mixed in. Laura wanted the Peonies to be at different stages of opening to give the Bouquet some interest.

The Table Centres were placed on a mirrored plate & then Tea lights were be added as we left.
This plate was 40cm in diameter.

The Table Centres were a round arrangement in Oasis with Ivory Peonies, very pale pink Peonies, white Sweet Peas, blue Hydrangea, variegated Hosta leaves & I used the foliage from the Peonies.

The mantelpiece in the Ceremony room was decorated with small Vases in different sizes, each one had a single Peony head placed in it. There was a couple of picture frames being placed on there also.

The cake was decorated with a sprig of Hydrangea on the top & a Peony on the side to tie in with the Wedding theme.

Wedding of Zoe & Jamie Saturday 10th April 2010

Today was the Wedding of Zoe & Jamie, the weather had been awful all week so I was abit worried for Zoe that it was going to rain for her special day but it turned out to be the hottest day of the year!
Zoe's Mum & Dad collected the flowers in the morning so I didn't get any pictures of the flowers in action.

Two small Calla Lilies with Greenery & finished with gold ribbon to be placed on top of the Cake.

The Groom, Jamie's Buttonhole of a Calla Lily with Greenery to complement Zoe's Bouquet.

The three Ladies double cream 'Vendella' Rose & Greenery Buttonholes.

Zoe originally wanted to wear a circlet Ivy & Freesia but after meeting with her Hairdresser they decided that a headband would be better as her hair is quite short.
I used white Freesia & Greenery, I bound the headband with gold ribbon to match her Bouquet.

The 1 year old Bridesmaid had a single 'Cool Water' Rose with Greenery around the edge & finished with pink ribbon to match.

The Bridesmaid's Hand-tied Bouquet of 'Cool Water' Roses with Pistach & variegated Ivy. Finished with pink ribbon to match.

Zoe's Bouquet of White Calla Lilies, trailing Bear Grass, variegated Ivy, rolled Aspidistra Leaves & Pistach Greenery finished with gold ribbon.

1st April & it was my first Wedding of the year.
I never asked Sandra if she really was getting married today or if it was an April Fools! The weather was typical for April - rainy but I think it managed to stay dry for them to walk from the Town Hall to the Tennis Club.
I did the flowers for Sandra's Son last year so it was a great pleasure to be able to do hers now.

Male Buttonholes of Thistles, Rosemary & Eucalyptus.

Spring Corsage of lilac Anemone, Sol'Dor Daffodils, orange Tulips, Pussy Willow, Rosemary & Eucalyptus finished with a Tartan bow as Sandra's Mum is from Scotland.
